This was a book done in Typography II class, where we were given a typeface to do research on and create a saddle stitched book. The given typeface had to be incorporated into each page. I chose to use specific artists and their well-known style of art as my artboard and used the entire Franklin Gothic family in different sizes, style, and weights. A future app will soon come to let users play around with Franklin Gothic typography and gain more knowledge on creative ways to use it.
The idea of this book is that each page is perforated to be torn off and designed in a poster or postcard style manner. This shows an easier understanding of how it is most popularly used in the industry. Each page has different styles and weights of the Franklin Gothic family, which is the main objective of this project.
