Update the Library icons to reflect the new look throughout the app. Work within the color palette determined in the new look. The icons share common traits and appear to come from the same family.
The new design language for the icons should have a organized visual consistency. The overall shape and size, corner radius, gaps between shapes, and line weights. It should also use a limited color palette with a spot color treatment.
These are the icons that were in the previous app. You can see how outdated it is and feels very throwback and retro. This style consists heavily of sharp beveled edges, hard edge glows, reflections and skeuomorphism. All of these characteristics do not follow the current design trend and the new design language for all of Apple's video app programs.
The new redesigned icon sets meet the design goals and has a proportional balance and overall modern style aesthetics. The exact spot colors were brought over for readability concerns with users. The color tone was best matched adjusting hues to fit into the new interface style.
The new Motion app was released recently during the Macbook Pro Touchbar announcement at the 2016 WWDC. Along with Final Cut Pro, Motion was released together. The new redesigned icons can be seen throughout the apps. Everything can be used with the new Macbook Touchbar for a quicker workflow.
