We were to do an experimental type book using a movie script of our choosing. The movie I chose to do was Ted. I thought this movie was perfect for this project because it has a lot of dialect and imagery to incorporate into the book along with fun and playful text. I used the typeface Avenir to give the overall book a playful and friendly setting. This book was hand bound in perfect binding and used Adobe InDesign to create the overall layouts per page. Print production for this book was also done at home on an Epson Artisan 1430. There were complications that came with manual labor and had to rotate and turn pages during printing sessions.
Actual images of the completed printed and bound book pages.
I have included a few design layout spreads pre-production before printing and binding. You can see all the details from fold lines, crop marks, bleed lines, and etc. You can see throughout the spreads, the most common color scheme and consistent layouts in dialects taken directly from the actual script book.
